It was a fun week in Mrs. Marotta's first grade class! They went on a "trip" to the United Kingdom during ELA. On the plane they made passports, had a popcorn snack, watched a video on the U.K. and read a story, "A Trip to the U.K." They had fun using mirrors to watch their mouth formation when saying short vowel sounds. They also enjoyed buddy reading their story! ✈️

Happy October! 🎃 This month for SEL, we're excited to focus on the theme of growth mindset. Our fifth-grade student council representatives have been visiting classrooms to share the important message that a growth mindset means believing in the power of our brains to grow and learn new things. Embracing this mindset encourages us all to tackle challenges with confidence and curiosity!
