Hello Hollywood and Central students and families!
Welcome to our music e-learning page. I hope that you enjoy the activities and learn something along the way. Select the page for your grade level on the right-hand side of the screen. If you have questions or anything to share, please email Mr. Howes at [email protected]. Have fun and be creative!
I'd love to see how you're making music in your home. If you have a piano or guitar, drum set or just pots and pans I'd love to hear music making! If you make a recording please send it my way!
A note about my expectations
Adults and kids, some of the activities on your page may be a little bit tough to do. If you feel frustrated then stop, name your feeling, and calm down. Then make a plan. Maybe your plan is to try again. Maybe your plan is to contact me and then try after my guidance. Maybe your plan is to go on to another section of the lesson. Maybe your plan is to stop and do something else. These are all valid plans.
If you need help I am happy to help in whatever way I can. Need to video chat? E-mail me and we'll set up a time and a way to do that. Don't have resources to print things out? Get some blank paper and draw the notes. They don't need to be perfect.
If you can't do the lessons I don't want you to worry about your grade, or being behind, or anything else. Music should be enjoyable. I want you to learn about it, I want you to expand your understanding and knowledge, but mostly I want you to enjoy music. If all else fails make a joyful noise and then listen to someone else make music.
